Sleep is priceless on a tough hunt. My sleep system this year was more comfortable than anything I have experienced in the back country before. It is pretty light weight as well

1. Sleeping bag - WM alpinlite - 20 degree 32 oz
2. Pad - Klymit Insulated V ultralite sl- 4.4 r value - 15.2 oz
3. Pillow - Klymit Pillow X Large - 3.2 oz (https://www.klymit.com/pillow-x-large.html)

This is relatively lightweight yet EXTREMELY comfortable. The klymit pad's design is more comfortable than my neoair (womens version 12 oz). The pillow is pure luxury, the x design really makes it more comfortable. So I could go no pillow and the neoair and cut 6 oz but that 6 oz is some nice luxury.

I am a spartan solo sheep/goat hunter so I don't mind roughing it but man did this set-up impress me. On my goat hunt I slept in a WM Caribou (21 oz) and no pad and slept fine. In the future it will be a tough call when I am counting ounces what to bring. The comfort and better sleep will definitely factor in to my decision.
