Long story short a friend wants someone to deer hunt with this fall and loaned me a bow. I’ve hunted with firearms my whole life but never even shot a bow.
First would be the draw length. Odds of you and your buddy being identical aren’t good. If it’s a compound and not set at or very near the perfect draw length you’re setting yourself up for failure. Get to a bow shop or somebody in the know and make sure it fits you.
Yep, find someone that is knowledgeable in archery and ask for help. A bow shop, friend, or maybe a 'Slider in MI? I'm down by Indianapolis, so probably too far away to help much.
Post up what the bow is and any accessories/arrows here and I'm sure we can help from afar. Just be careful, archery hunting can be addictive.
