That’s a great idea and I didn’t even think about it. I do not have a pad/bag setup rated for anything close to these temps but if I did I’d be testing it right now.

Getting ready too. Heading Alabama Wednesday AM for a couple weeks of the whitetail rut. Looks colder for first few days. Colder than SWFL for sure. My cousin from Ohio will be down. He will think its warm.

To answer OP's question, hell no. It's -22 right now, which is better than 2 nights ago at -33. We're looking forward to double digit highs above zero by Saturday, through.

My wife thinks I am nuts when I sleep in the backyard to test a sleeping bag.
Mine did to!
19 here in San Antonio. Chilly....too early for bourbon ...
I’ve been drinking mimosas this morning, won’t be too much longer and I’ll crack open the knob creek.

Yeah I don’t want any part of that. I think we hit -1 a few years ago and that was cold enough for me.
