Wanted to pop on here and say that I ended up buying a Tarptent rainbow and am thrilled with my purchase, it is a great single wall offering, spacious, sturdy, versatile one-man tent with potential to even fit two people (only if you really like her). Foot print is small, which was the goal.

I wish they made a double wall version and I would pick that up too.

Not sure if the OP is still on the hunt. But wanted to officially cast my vote.

Too many tents rely on guys and pegs for my liking, for getting a pitch that will stand a lot of wind above the bushline (I'm down the "roaring 40's here) you can't beat "skirts" on your fly sheet - just pile on the rocks! Treat them as a sacrificial wear strip. This approach makes the most of a very small ledge etc.
