Suppressor Cover Impact differences?

My suppressor cover moves forward some as I shoot. It doesn't seem to impact the accuracy as far as I can tell.

Does yours move and have you found it to affect impact when it does. I don't expect to shoot much over 200 yds tomorrow if I shoot. I may wait 'til cooler weather to fill my tag.

Second question, does your point of impact change if the cover is on vs not. I haven't tried it.

Fwiw, the suppressor is a Banish 30 on a 300 WSM.

I haven’t noticed poi changes with a little movement of the cover or different cover.

Mirage off the suppressor can move the image and cause you to miss high. Can look like POI changes, but it is the same as a hot barrel kicking off mirage.

I haven’t noticed any difference with the cover vs no cover with a thunderbeast

My tikka t3x 30-06 shoots differently with or without the cover.

I’ve noted no difference with covers on v off, nor if it slides around from the recoil. My range only goes to 200 yards so maybe at longer ranges there would be a change.

As mentioned, heat mirage is more likely to impact the POI. Thus, I think you’re better off with a cover than without if you shoot many rounds at a time.
