Is the Ramshot Magnum temp sensitive?

I just shot some Ramshot Magnum yesterday for the first time and to say I'm excited about it is an understatement... and in talking with a few people it's supposed to be up there with the best of them for being stable in a wide range of temperatures!

Justin,
After shooting the Ramshot I think I should be average about 3165 fps with the 215 Berger! At 27" pressure and 60* temp I'm only 2.6 Mils at 600 yards (2447 fps, 2860 ft lbs), 5.7 Mils at 1,000 yards (2028 fps, 1963 ft lbs), and 10.9 mils at 1500 yards (1559 fps, 1161 ft lbs).

I know you shoot MOA so multiply the above MILS by 3.434 to get your weird MOA adjustments... :)

Also I noticed that for the loads I had with the Retumbo that I was getting some loads that were consistently 100 fps SLOWER. Turns out I had powder from two different lot #'s and with a little research has shown that Retumbo is a pretty inconsistent powder from lot to lot.

A few rounds with Ramshot Magnum yesterday was between 3155-3176 with virgin brass. Expecting to stabilize a bit FPS wise with once fired brass.

One good thing about the powder shortage is that we are all trying different powders that we may not have tried otherwise. I wonder what it would do in a 7mm wsm pushing a 168gr berger hybrid ? I have a pound each of Retumbo , h1000 , and imr 7828 to try. Might look for some Ramshot Magnum to throw into the mix.

Here's a video from last weekend. 786 yards and 12-18mph wind shooting up a draw with some nice down drafts and other feeder canyons coming into it! :)

First shot is low due to that second lot of Retumbo like I mentioned above. After the correct though it's just dancing with the wind!

3165 is exactly what my 6.5-06 Ackley is shooting the 140 Berger VLD's with that same powder.

Is your zero 300 yds?

I zero at 100 and dial or hold for anything over. When hunting I'll click up to a 200 yard zero so I can hold fur out to 350-400. Anything farther and I can dial.
