Bump for info-

Anyone running the 180eldm?
That's the only bullet that seems to justify the hassle over the 147 / 6.5 cm.

I figure the 195 is a bit too slow in a 20-24" Sporter.

I built a 25x284 on my 25-06 tikka. The 284 case is probably as good as it gets in a tikka. no feeding issues so far and long action magazines have more room than you will likely ever need.
What bullet and twist rate do you use in your 25-284 build?

I’ve read a lot of mixed feedback with the 180 on game. From what I have researched, the 162 seems to be more consistent.

Take this with a grain of salt. I have not made the swap to 7mm yet

I haven't tested the load yet, but in my X-Caliber CFW .284, the 180 Hybrid fits fine in factory Tikka mags, 3.25" OAL when touching lands. That length also keeps the boat tail away from the shoulder/neck junction, but barely. CBTO's all should match theoretically, but these are measured with the Hornady tool that has a smaller than .284" ID.

Edit to add: I've also hear people not loving the 180 ELD, hence not having it.
