Tikka OEM Bottom Metal Question…

Does anybody who has messed with these know if this locating pin on the factory bottom metal is removable? I’m replacing my factory stock and lots of the aftermarket stock makers mention that this pin needs removing before you can install the bottom metal, but I can’t find anything that says if it’s molded into the polymer or if it’s a separate piece

Molded. I broke mine off of 2 of mine. Didnt change a thing.

Do they snap off clean? Or did you have to sand it down afterwards?

Mine snapped off clean, but was it just mine? or do they need to be cut off clean?

They're molded in as said above. I cut it off with a utility knife. It's no problem.

A 300winmag Lite model I bought a few weeks ago had the pin. It's a non-issue, just cut it off if it's there.
