Torn up feet suck. I’ve had great luck using injinji liner socks with high quality over the calf hiking socks over the top. The injinji socks look funny and feel weird at first, but I haven’t gotten a blister since I started using them.

Do any of you recommend a good pair of boots for Side hilling?

La Sportiva Trango Cube

Scarpa Rebel K or Evolution Trek

Side-hilling is tough on feet now matter how you slice it. As has been said, a pair of stiff-soled boots that fit well will make a world of difference. The more your foot moves in the boot, the more likely you will get hot spots and blisters. This applies to going up, down, and across. Lock those babies down!

Get you a pair of Asolo Fugitive Gtx Boots and a some smart wool hunting/lightweight hiking socks. Add 1 trekking pole and you are good to go. Also, take your time when side hilling.
