Might be pulling the trigger on a Jeep. Want to have 35" tires and a lift on it. Trying to figure out how much lift I need to not rip the fenders off with some v-bar chains.

Any advice?

I measured the thickness of the chains for my normal tires and they are 3/4". Does the chain size increase for bigger tires? Not sure how much to add onto the effective diameter of the tire.

People say 35" tires have adequate clearance, but 37" tires rub. So I'm trying to see how much bigger the tire gets with chains on I guess.

Need more vehicle details. There's only 74 different models of Jeep brand vehicles out there.
2022 JLU Rubicon with the Extreme Recon package.

It would have a total lift of 3.5" over a base model Jeep.

If you’re talking about a Wrangler you should be fine with 2 1/2” to 3” of lift. I run 34s under a 2” lift and have plenty of clearance.

One thing is for sure, you'll know the exact second you get to zero clearance. I wouldn't consider chains for 35+ that are not cams. Loose chains are RELENTLESS.
