Last catch of the season for me.
Hope this isn’t the last one I ever get to catch
Are you willing to share info about your set up? Traps, bait, etc?

We set DP's and MB-550's here and run 10x12x36" box traps here but I always wondered about getting a bigger box trap.

I never catch bobcats, I don't think they are into the baits, sets or maybe they want motion but they are prevalent here.

Here's some of ours. We ran MB 550s during coyote season and I stumbled across in the regulations that coon and opossum season ran 15 days longer, so I ordered some dog proof traps and got some good nights in before the end of that season. We should be tripping over poults in a few months, right?IMG_3638.jpgIMG_3634.jpg

Just saw a group of 21 turkeys on my buddies place where I've been nest predator trapping hard for 4 years. 3 mature toms, 5 Jakes and 13 hens. 4 to 6 years ago you were lucky to hear one gobble.

Killed one gobbler in 2022 and 2 in 2023. I have taken nearly 150 nest predators off his 94 acres in the last 4 years. Trapping may not be the total answer for the rebound in bird numbers, but it's sure a big part of it.

That's great. We had a banner year a few years ago with birds everywhere and now not so much. Pulled a few predators this year and hope to see improvement.

It's a huge part of it, without a doubt.
Good for you!
