Weatherby Backcountry Ti Floorplate Etching

Hey guys,

anyone know how Weatherby was able to etch the topo map onto the floorplate of their new backcountry Ti rifles with it being cerekoted and look as good as it does?

mom looking to have a floorplate finished and haven’t been able to find a way aside from milling or hand stencil.

Not sure how they do it. Have you seen that they’re offering custom floor plates now? On the website.

I have not seen that, I just noticed the floorplate off the Backcountry Ti. I’m having a custom rifle built though, not going through Weatherby.

I'm pretty sure it's done by a laser. I'd bet you could find someone to do it for you

It's prob not cerakote, could it be anodized? Then the Lazer etch would pop right through.

It might be. That would make the most sense, I’ve not had one in hand to tell. They say the rifle is cerekoted, but that may just be barreled action.
