Snowcrest is way closer to a Filson Mackinaw or Shirt Jac than a daily button down/Flannel Yes?
Not nearly as heavy as either of those, I put both of those in the "heavyweight" wool category. I would put the Snowcrest in the "medium weight" category.

I wear my Pendelton's all the time for yardwork, but I cannot wear them for archery in September. The sleeves when rolled up are too restrictive and cut the blood flow to my forearms.

This is a jacket, not a shirt but has anyone got any experience with it? Or with this company?

I did a bunch of research into wool jackets and what I saw online consistently (BushCraft USA, YouTube, etc. etc.) was that Asbell's are good but relatively featureless, and difficult to contact (which was my experience, never heard back).

If buying a wool jacket, take a look at Filson Mackinaw, WeatherWool offerings, Empire Canvas & Wool, or Micklagaard.

The trad community keeps Asbell going. He shows up at all the big trad shoots and sells direct. Poke around on the trad forums and you'll get a lot of feedback on his stuff.
