Zen bivy users, I got a question for you.

What’s an easy one. When you guys are using the system are you using the mattress purchased for them as well or just whatever sleeping pad you have. Is the mattress they sell worth the $190?

I get the even more expensive pads that ThermaRest sells (X-Therm and X-Lite).

YMMV.

I prefer a different pad pattern for better sleep and use the tensor.

Sounds good I just wasn’t sure if their sleeping pad was somehow an integral part of that system or anything could be used.

I use the sea to summit etherlite, no issues

In my limited experience, I’ve used a Amazon $40 pad(gave it away) to BA ($200) to an Exped ($300) ….and you get what you pay for. My preferred pad is the Exped buts it’s for base camp
