Colorado wolf lovers already moved goal posts

Same thing happened here in WA. Once the wolves figured out that Herefords don’t run as fast as elk, the state was forking out money left and right. Didn’t take long till you had to have proof of range riders, these stupid flashing red and blue lights and a bunch of other stuff that doesn’t work to get reimbursed.

Except here it wasn’t a bill, they just decided for us. Because a bunch of people in Olympia Washington who’ve never seen a wolf or cow know what’s best for us…

What a lot of people don’t understand is it’s not just the killing of livestock that hurts the ranchers; it’s the lack of pregnancies. Stressed cattle don’t breed well. Ranchers here went from 95% of mother cows calving in the spring down to 50-60%.

Folks, this is a tried and successful strategy for the wolf advocates. Study the legal playbook they used in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming and you'll find the predictable step-by-step process you'll be facing. It's a long and tedious litigation battle that costs the taxpayers millions. Buckle up for the long haul and don't get all worked up and incensed over these predictable steps.

The urban progressive elites have no respect for private property and complete disdain for rural Coloradans. Every Colorado voter should email Colorado House and Senate opposing this bill. The wolf folks got what they wanted, wolves on the landscape, now they need to compromise with the ranchers who have to live with them.

Should make everybody who voted for wolves be the ones to compensate the ranchers. I bet a lot of people would end up changing votes to no.

And the Dems / Polis just exempted themselves from the open meeting law... the weasels are running amuck in the hen house.

We (Montana) should have had grizzlies delisted more than a decade ago. The USWS agreed, but sadly that doesn’t matter. All you need to do is file suit and carefully shop for a federal judge.

We had the “bar” moved for grizzlies (and wolves) moved so many times (and never lower!) you couldn’t keep track.

We did eventually get a wolf season, but there is now a large push to get them relisted. It’s a never ending, uphill battle.

Best of luck to Colorado.

Complete affront to democracy and transparent government. Lots of liberal and progressive orgs lined up against this. Even split many Colo Dems in the vote. This could be a serious opportunity to shift Colorado back to a more purple state of affairs. Voters are not going to be happy with the optics of this bill. Creates a vulnerability for every Dem who voted in favor and up for re-election in a swing district.

I HOPE they remember and see what this run away group of folks is up to.
