Hey, whatā€™s wrong with Wisconsinites? Midwest friendly.

Iā€™ll echo what other have said, for the most part Iā€™ve had great experiences interacting with locals. Iā€™ve been given free exclusive access to a ranch in WY, and been driven around by a guide in NM who didnā€™t have a client. Actually, I canā€™t think of a bad experience or run in Iā€™ve had out of state hunting.

The ones Iā€™ve talked to have been good people, theyā€™re just everywhere. Does nobody stay home and shoot whitetails anymore?

Oh, we hunt whitetail, but gun season is in November. That gives us September and October to hunt out west. If I had to choose, Iā€™d give up all local hunting for one week out west a year.

Ca Hunters get an undeserved bad rap. Most are conservatives stuck in Ca for Family or work- including myself.

What the guys in other states don't realize- its not the hunters from Ca...it's the politicians and the Universities pumping out these Climate Weinies and Socialist idiots.

Those universities are doing it in all states. Thats what we get when DEI takes over, Marxist Professors that have never worked a real job...or run a company are preaching Theory and not real world to our young adults. Check out the weirdos schools like UC Boulder is putting out- or the Ivy League schools- my Gawd its crazy- this is the main problem why our society has changed.

If you don't believe me, just watch some of the speeches from those University protests. Then check the piles of trash those hypocrites left behind in their wake. It's no wonder they whine about only being able to find a job at Starbucks with their Masters in Film degree. Gr .

If you donā€™t want NRā€™s then just move to Washington state. Never have NRā€™s because the hunting ainā€™t worth traveling more than 20 miles for!

Really ? WA Seems like a great state to live in. Elk, deer and salmon opportunities. Nothing too special but you can get a spike elk, nice mule deer EWA and island deer šŸ¦Œ b the west side..
Muzzle loader elk bay view
and catch and smoke a lot of fish.

The armpit of the state makes all of that not worth it.

Y'all think the non res big game hate is strong... you should see the waterfowl non res hate. Incredible. Nobody hates a duck hunter more than a local duck hunter.
SC hunters in Arkansas. Ga hunters in Tenn. Minnesota in NoDak, anyone in Kansas.
Hating blue platers is taught from birth in The Dakotas with Wisconsin a close second haha

Hunting out west I've run into Residents that would give you the shirt off their back. The only guys I've run into that were kind of D-bags were from my home state, MN.

You know whatā€™s funny, is Iā€™ve got more hate from other nonresident hunters! Never had any resident hunters give me a bad time. Totally the opposite actually. The first time I ever hunted Wyoming we had a local pull up to us in Rawlins and ask if we were from out of state. We said yeah and he told us to follow him he was gonna show us where the grocery store was and the processor. He spent probably a half hour of his time showing us around.
We had a guy from Pennsylvania tell us ā€œitā€™s you damn Californians who are ruining Colorado hunting, going around and buying up multi million dollar second homes.ā€ We were definitely not buying any kind of second home there lol, I knew what he meant though.
This year in Wyoming we stayed at this awesome little place that had cabins and a little bar outside Saratoga for a night. Went in to have a couple beers in the bar and the couple local guys and owner asked where we were from, you never know how itā€™s gonna go when you tell people youā€™re from California, but they were super cool about it. Said every Californian theyā€™d met had been good people. They said it was the Coloradans moving to Wyoming and ruining it lol. Maybe Iā€™ve just been lucky but I havenā€™t had a bad experience yet.

This has been my experience as well in Wy. Iā€™ve expected the worse driving there with Ca plates, but itā€™s all been positive interactions with good people.

I've never had any bad experiences with Res or NR. Don't think I've ever met anybody from Cali while hunting. Although truck next to us couple years ago had CA plates, not that it made 1 bit of difference.

State of residence is a poor criteria to judge people on. There are both great guys and a-holes in all 50 states.

If it werenā€™t for NR then there wouldnā€™t be anybody in my elk spot! I appreciate them. It gets lonely hunting an area without anybody else around.

New Mexico is far from perfect in their hunting structure (looking at you LO tags) but I like how some of their hunts and units are only available to residents.

It's really the outfitter pool that needs to go away. Even though the EPLUS could use an update, it provides more opportunity to NR's than if it were done away with.

Hunter's will be the demise of hunting, not anti's.

Anti non-residents don't get dumped on by residents or other non-residents anti's...
