You can pick up a 5000 KUIU ICON with a 13' frame and 12' suspension for 299.99....same for the KUIU 7000ci.

This will be my first "high end" pack and Im stoked. I was almost getting "pack burnout" from searching and searching. Finally bit the bullet.

Being kuiu, I chuckled as I was signing in because I just knew they were going to be out of stock....to my surprise they were not!

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered a 7000 last night...... The money saved will help with the up and coming tent purchase!

So this is the original ICON right? Are these packs any good?

Aren't they coming out with a new and improved frame? I would pass on this deal myself. I am a big KUIU fan except when it comes to their packs.

Great deal! I have a 2012 frame w/5000 and 1850 bags and love them. Great versatile layout of pockets and a very comfortable frame/harness. Been a great pack for me at 6'2" 220lbs.

They are the 13' frame, 12' suspension.

Its no rhino gear, but it will get me by...barely I suppose.

Why does life have to be so complicated. Just when I was about to pull the trigger on another kifaru, now this. Has anyone ever put a kuiu icon 500 on a bikini frame?

I know Kuiu has had problems with the first generation frames but I think they are a lot better now. They're still a high end light weight pack, you're right that it's not Rhino gear but I think if looked after it will last a life time. And they ship within a day or two! :)
