Is it possible to identify types of agriculture being done with an OnX layer? E.g. is it possible to identify milo and corn fields?

Yes, there's a "crops" layer that you can turn on. From my field experience, the crops info is from the prior year so I don't think it's a guarantee that the same crops will be planted in the current year (or if the field (s) will be falllow).

Your question is a good one. Reach out to onX customer service. Verify and let us know what they say.👍

As mentioned above, in Map Layers, if you open up the Trees, Crops, and Cover folder, you'll see a US Crop Distribution Layer. We currently have 19 different crop layers available for you to turn on. Those are from the previous year. We get new crop information typically in February or early March, so that is when we will update to 2023 crop data. So you may need to do some ground truthing, but if you know the typical crop rotation for a given area, you can generally get a pretty good idea of what is going to be planted in an area.
