2022 saskatchewan archery whitetail. We took a trip a couple hours from home to look for mulies, but found out the place was full of whitetails. Its my biggest whitetail so far. The shot was 34 yards

This is a nice whitetail for the location near Story, Wyoming. They tend to be small deer there. With the help of a friend I was able to hunt, as I had a cast on my right leg at the time.
Center-grip XP-100 (Borden Alpine action/Clone XP-100) chambered in 6.5-284.

Don’t forget about placing that in next season’s photo contest. Although I think you have an elk/coues deer hybrid there. That’s a stud coues.
Thanks. I actually was after mule deer and in a unit not typically known for coues. I located that coues about a week before the hunt, but at 1800 yards it was hard to tell how big he actually was. I ended up turning my tag back in the day before the hunt started because I couldn’t find the mule deer I was after for quite some time. After the hunt started and more than halfway over I was feeling regret for not going after that coues. So I called game and fish and asked if I was able to get my tag back haha. They lady said she had never had anyone ask for their tag back after surrendering it and would have to check. She called me back about 15 min later and said to come to the office and they could print my tag back out for me. The next day we located that buck 150 yards from where I had located him before the hunt started. I tapes him out just a hair of 114”

Bear with me as I try to get my post count up. Here is a deer I shot in 1/7/22 at 18 yards with my bow.

What's your load for those bullets? I'm thinking of making the switch for my Idaho legal Optima. Not super impressed with the Powerbelts anymore....also, what bullet size fit your barrel? .500 or .501?View attachment 558332
I’d suggest getting the No Excuses ‘sizing pack’ to determine your bore size.
A lot of ML have a .503 bore, but it’s best to check.

I use 90gr of Pyrodex
