@Te Hopo. Any idea what muzzle velocity was? Maybe a guess on impact velocity as well? Sounds encouraging.

I'm guessing around 2700-2750fps, most of my shots are 25-150yds with a few out to 200m.
I always try and get close because at the end of the day, it is a .223

it's a good girlfriend gun, then you can get yourself something a little more practical for hunting black bear... if recoil sensitive, just get a braked 450/400NE.... if not, go with the 600NE... considering they are the "CONUS black death"

Lol. Welcome to Canadian powder pricing gentlemen.... I haven't seen a $35/lb can of powder in probly 7-8 years. I just did a quick check online and some powders are upwards of $75/lb and 8 pounders at $550.... when you can find them.
