Anybody running non-waterproof with boot dryers?

My feet get pretty hot and sweaty consistently, even in colder weather. I'm considering switching to non-waterproof boots to have maximum ventilation. Then just bringing along Graksaw boot dryers that I'm taking anyways to dry out boots after creek crossings.

Anybody doing something similar? Or tried it and didn't like it?

What I found with non goretex boots that had some mesh outers, was dust would filter into the boot and I end up with sweaty dirt covered toes.
