Average shot distance on pronghorn.

I've shot 4 with my 30.06, closest one was 106 yards, furthest away was 236 yards. Never have had to take super long shots.

I’ve shot a handful from 80-500, it just depends but Antelope are one animal you should be very prepared to shoot a tad further then 100.

Back in the good old days I filled 3 tags per season for many years. All were rifle. There is no average.....zero out to the range you are comfortable with. You just never know with them. The closest was 75 yards.....the longest shot was 435 yards. Sometimes when they spook the lead buck will stop and face the danger. Most of the time those bucks stop out of range. But sometimes you get lucky. You will need good optics and a flat shooting rifle. It doesn't take much to bring the little goats down. A good lighweight rifle in .243, 264, 25-06, .270, 6 creed...many others.

Closest was 7 yards, furthest was over 700... Have shot a lot over the last 30 years. Archery on a water hole average would be 25 yards. Average rifle about 250 yards. Guided for many years and always told clients to be comfortable to 300. That covered most opportunities.

Shot distance varies greatly with the animals and the pressure they've been getting. Last antelope tag I was available for was a leftover late season tag in December. It was in southeast Colorado and the antelope would spook at the sight of a truck at 1k yards. Assuming poaching/road hunting was huge down there but I got one at 300 yds with a 300 WSM with my reload; 178gr Amax at 3081fps.

I've shot four of them and the ranges have been between 200-250 yards. This is in New Mexico and Texas if that matters.

My buck last year was about 330 - wife's doe was 300
Year before was around 220 and the year before was around 200.

I've only hunted one area and its wide open/flat. Your average shot distance out there could be 500-1000 easily, but we don't/can't shoot that far. Typically first nice buck under 350 gets shot, try to get closer for the old man. I wouldn't hunt that area with someone who isn't comfortable shooting out to 200-250 at least.

My luck is miss at 200 yards, then hit them when the stop at 380, lol

Shortest 30 yards with a bow 60-260 with a muzzleloader and 35-670 with a rifle.

mine all w/7 mag were 175, 300, 450. Wifes w/308 were 475 & 575. Ones i've guided friends were 450, 363, 250, 250. You can get closer to a lot smaller bucks but were picky and take the first shot were comfortable with for the shooter and weather conditions at that time.

I don't have time to read every response on this thread but what I've found especially rifle hunting your shot distance varies greatly in the area you're hunting. Some areas antelope have a much closer "comfort" zone they will let you inside of in other areas it's much farther mostly depending on hunting pressure. Some areas you cannot get closer then 400 yards. Other areas they don't care if you're 100 yards away.
