Friendly reminder to test your new gear!

With the weather rolling through the west the next few days get out and test your gear! For instance, today I found out that one degree is pretty far past the range of my new hanwags and my new Sitka gloves are the cats ass!

I drank the koolaid and bought a baerskin hoody. At -10 it works good but the wind proof is just ok at that temp .

This time of year I put my carhart insulated bibs and jacket in my vehicle and do the same for my wife. I know I live in TX right. Its a habit from growing up in PA and being taught to always be prepared for worst case scenarios.

Yup. I originally bought the regular Alpine down and it was simply way too hot. Don't make that mistake.
