I don’t know much about tripods, found this at a thrift store

So what did I find as far as quality and functionality goes? Weighs 57.2oz including the head, is that heavy for a backpacking tripod?

An older model Slik-great find.

Pros:

1-cost-I’m guessing you paid $5-10.
2-Japanese made Slik
3-weight-should be heavy enough to be pretty stable

Cons:
1-Limited range for leg adjustments based on how the legs attach to the center post
2-might be tough to get another quick detach plate given the age

With tripods I absolutely am drinking the kool aid. $150 binos on a thrift store tripod are better than much more expensive binos freehand.
