Idaho unit 27 fires

Thought I’d put it out there that if any of you hunt 27, pay attention to the boundary fire and Scarface fire. Seen the boundary column from a long ways away today. Locals think both of them are going to go big before weather comes in.

Getting several texts the last week from buddies and friends of friends worried about access this year.

As of this morning, the boundary and Scarface were 3 miles from merging. Only fairly big drainage in their way is sheep creek

Just saw an update where Boundary is 50k acres now. That thing is blowing up. I don't think the rain in the area today is going to put a dent in it at all. Bummer for the guys out in 27, especially the sheep tag guys.

Anybody have any info on the smoke this year (preferably this week)? Looks like we've gotten at least a little rain up there. I'm supposed to pack in for 2 weeks next week and i'm hoping it's not like taking up smoking like last year!

Yeah, I think I've seen more lighting strikes than raindrops in the last week. I'm holding out for a few more days and then packing in. Hopefully the pass is open when I try to drive out!
