Got that!

After cutting my barrel down, my 7mm was under 6. After adding the brake, mounts and a Leupold 4.5-14x40 B&C with turrets, she comes in at 7.5#.

Reviewing a lot of info about putting together that sub 6# rifle including scope with less recoil. Probably going to have to take the plunge with a Kimber or maybe that new Barrett...

Figured I would update this now that I its pretty much done:

Tikka 300 WSM, 22" Sendero Lite 300 WSM barrel, South Fort Labs carbon stock.

1 oz over 6 pounds with a pic rail on it.

Just under 8.25 pounds with a 4-16 NF ATACR (heavy SOB but I like it for the purpose of this rifle)

Hair under 9 pounds to make it quiet:

Def more bling factor than any real weight savings, but its an accurate son of a gun with the initial load work ups with 208 ELDs at over 2900 fps.

Luke, did your "bottom plastic" fit flush or did the stock need to be inletted more to sink it? I have that stock and the factory Tikka bottom plastic is a little proud. Purely cosmetic, but it bugs me.
Thanks

T3x in 6.5CM with a McMillan Hunter Edge. Saved a bit of weight compared to the factory laminated stock.

Here’s mine... all I’ve really done is drop it in a KRG Bravo. I love the look at feel of the stock and the adjustable cheek piece is great. It did add some weight, with the Nightforce SHV and stock it weighs 10lbs, but it shoots fantastic like this. I do think the factory mags are better than the AICS style, at least the Accurate Mag I have.

Makes me consider grinding more on the factory stock to get a better, more fully free floated barrel for hunting season.

Curious why all the chassis say Short action only? When tikkas are all the same action size, and so are their magazines. Is it due to the bolt hitting the stock?

yes, the only difference in a tikka SA/LA is the bolt stop and where it is cut.
