Low profile red dot for youth 22

I am thinking about putting a red dot on my kids savage 22 rascal. I know nothing about red dots, I have never used one. The seem like they usually stick up pretty high so was after as small/low as profile one as possible. Also, inexpensive would be a plus. Anyone ever "run a rig" like this?

Had a Bushnell TRS-25 on a Rascal. Pretty solid for what it was and about as low as you could get one. $78 on Amazon right now.

If it still to high for a good cheek weld, pipe insulation and vet wrap. I don’t know if the factory ones (Beartooth Products) will work with the smaller stock.

If you use vet wrap, the kids pick the color.

The same Bushnell TRS-25 as mentioned above on the Savage Rascal as well. It works well for the price

Yep. I’ve got a rascal and for the money trs-25 is tough to beat

had a cheap AIM reddot on it for a while...

have since moved to a Fastfire II...

I have one on one of the 22lr for the kiddos and use it as a sxs gun on the farm, works pretty damn good.
