I was looking for a light-weight tripod option and while I have used extended bi-pods and have a decent BOG tripod, neither was a backpack hunt option. I tend to hack and tinker with just about anything to repurpose or mis-use gear or tools for other means. After watching the Quick-Stix videos and reading up on them, I just could not see the point of investing in the quick attach and the third leg and the stock mounting work.

The results: I bought two sets of the Quick-Stix adapters and removed one leg from my BOG Pod. I attached the first Quick-Stix connector set normally to my trekking poles and then worked with the second quick attach to get an angle that would work with the BOG Pod leg. See pics. So, mis-appropriating a leg from another tripod and the $37 for the second quick attach and I have a light weight, fully portable and very stable tripod for backpack hunting.

I should say that I did this as a rifle rest more so than for binos. If you still wanted to do a bino mount I guess you'd have to get the quick clip and the pan head mount... @ $425 worth of accessories. I would not spend that money but would figure out another way to do a bino mount.

I don't even take the 3rd leg for a rifle rest. Just learn to fully utilize the Quick-Stix as a tall bipod and you are good to go.

You could possibly extend the Bog pole out far enough and attach the male thread for a tripod head.
