Thought I’d share my backcountry rifle. Scales are not perfect, but I believe them to be close.
Savage 110 Ultralite 280AI shooting 162 ELDX factory Hornady, Leupold VX5 3-15x44 with Seekins low rings on a Leupold 20MOA rail. Pics are of last 100yd group. Weight is with 4 rounds. Lightest rifle I’ve ever had and the weight for me allows fairly good offhand steadiness. Average MZ 2860. I’ll defer any technical questions, I’m just a hunter using what works for me.
Thanks for sharing!

Anyone shooting Barnes ttsx or lrx out of these rifles? Anyone get a 270 win printing well yet?

Mine (6.5creed) shoots really well, haven’t tried a bunch of ammo through it because it liked the federal premium 140gr accubonds, so I decided to stick with them for now.

it shot everything well that I tried, but the accubond was a standout. I wanted a relatively tough bullet, and will try some partitions and mono bullets soon in it.

these rifles were made for hunting the coast, light, well balanced, shoot well, and ugly enough to not worry about beating up

I should have my 28 nosler this week. With ammo tough to get right now I was only able to scoop up a box of nosler 175gr ablr and a box of hornady eldx to try out to see how it likes both.

I have 2 boxes of eldx ammo if your gun likes it and you get in a bind.

I will keep that in mind. I probably wont get to shooting until spring since I'm still undecided on scope for the gun. Do you have the savage 28 or a diff manufacturer?

Does anyone have any range time with the 28 yet and if so which bullet shot best in your gun?

First time here but there seems to be a lot of good info. Has anyone gotten one in 28 nos yet? Curious of your impressions and what factory ammo you have shot

Got my first animal with the Ultralite. Mine is chambered in 280 AI. I'm shooting 162 ELD-X at 2950. Shot was only 150 but he dropped in his tracks. So far so good with my sample size of one
Did you paint or dip your stock?

How is that Razor LHT performing? (I assume that is what I am seeing)

I'm really liking it. I've taken it on two backpack hunts and have had zero issues with it. I'm using the Warne Mountain Tech rings and I've had no problems with it holding zero. My friend used that rifle to take another buck at 335 and it went 20 yards and was down.
