Savage axis mystery spring

I was tinkering with my savage axis trigger assembly. I put everything back together and see that this little spring was left behind. I cannot for the life of me figure out where it goes.
The action, safety, bolt, and trigger work flawlessly when cycles and dry fired but obviously don’t want to take the gun out with a piece missing.
Any ideas?

I tried googling an exploded view of that trigger group but couldn't find it. There are lots of videos on DIY trigger jobs. Google that and I bet you can find a video of someone taking one apart. That's where I would start.
