Snowpack not looking very good :(

Learn something new every day :)

We’re looking at a few days in the upper 70’s which will erase a lot of this new snow, but drop back down to near normal next week.

Normally about this time of the year, the ground is thawed and and my sump pumps are cycling every 20 min or so. We had three times the normal rain last summer. But it froze hard without snow cover last fall. There isn't any water in the sumps and the pumps aren't running.

Given that the bottom row of wood in the shed is still frozen to the ground, I'm guessing the ground is frozen and nothing is moving.

We were in the red for several days (under 50%), this last bit of snow put us closer to 60%. We got close to an inch of precip in town—I see the drought map improved for most of the state.

June precip will likely be the crux of what kind of fire season we have

Seriously, that's it. Truck drivers made it sound much worse. 🙄
I was watching DOT website because I had to drive back to Missoula. It looked like a real mess for a while, 90 closed in multiple places, Homestake pass closed. Snowing hard, wet & heavy. They got it cleared quick, but in the middle of it I think it was a legit problem.

SW looking pretty good; we'll be off the map in a couple of days :(

Found decent snow in the Scapegoat and the Bob last weekend though
