Have a buddy with a 700+ acre property. Ran into a good amount of quail on the property definitely healthy birds. how are you guys liking the steel shot?

I've been shooting steel at upland birds for a while, It is required on the refuges. The magic pellet is in every shell, I kill plenty of birds with steel, you won't care either way after a while. Just cross your fingers CA doesn't outlaw bird soon.

Don’t like it as much as lead, but considering this fine state has taken that option away for hunting, our choices are limited. Steel will definitely get the job done. BTW, nice looking country and bird!!

Steel shot isn’t that great, but we gotta use it. It still gets the job done if you do your part.
