The vast majority for me have been in the first two hours of the day. None over the midday and only a few in the evening. I’m not a fan of breaking down a bull solo in the dark with just a headlamp.

Rifle kills have been all before noon, archery kills all have been after 3 p.m. Never killed anything between 12-3.

By 11 a.m. for most of my Sons & Myself. These are bow killed elk. A few afternoon but a very small percentage. The vast majority are taken in their bedding area, nearly all called in, a couple we were able to slip in silently. We hunt timbered country for the most part so glassing is basically out of the question.

I try and be out all day long. I see a lot of out of staters calling it a day at 1030. Bro it's just getting good!
