I have developed a great shooting load for my 16” suppressed 308 traveling 2790fps with 125gr Nosler Ballistic Tips. Anyone have any experience with this bullet’s on game performance. This gun is set up for east coast whitetails inside of 400 yards.

I used that bullet for several years on deer and antelope. MV was over 3,000fps from a 24" barrel .308 and they were very accurate and exceptionally destructive. They often didn't exit on rib shots and shoulder hits were a meat hunters nightmare.

You’ll have no issue on whitetails with that bullet.

While I don’t have any personal experience, they know and hunt with 2 guys who do a ton of doe killing on farms use them inclusively and love them.

You might see exits at that velocity, but ones I’ve seen them shoot didn’t. They both shoot .30-06 and are pushing them hard .

I use those in my 300 HAM'R. They have worked exceptionally well on deer, black bear and coyotes. Even at HAM'R velocities, they're destructive as described above. I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

They will certainly do the job on a whitetail. As previous posts have stated they usually ruin a lot of meat.

Im ok with everything im hearing. I hunt a very large cutover so the closer the animal is to the shot site the better. I will sacrifice a lost shoulder over a lost deer.

I developed a 125 grain NBT and Accubond load for my 308. I’m getting 3000 fps from a 20” barrel. I haven’t shot anything, yet, but have no reason to believe it won’t work.

Rule #3 my Daddy drilled into me back in the 70s= "you can't eat em if you can't find em". I shoot 150 gr NBT at 3150 fps out of two 22 inch barred 300wsm and 3185 fps out of three 23 inch barreled 300wsm.

BTs are often overlooked now, but I've had and seen great results from them on whitetail.

6mm 95s, 7mm 120s and 150s, and 30 cal 165s have been exceptional for me.

They don't get much love on the net anymore, because everyone has to have a half mile rifle, using .600+ BC bullets, even though they probably never shoot over 500 yards.

Use your BTs without hesitation on your deer.

Thank you. I’ve often wondered why they don’t get any more attention than they do around here.
