There are many good knives it depends on your budget and how deep you want to learn and differentiate steels, grinds and edge geometry. Neesmuk is classic design from the Canadian belt knife. Made many of them. Drop point is my preference in the backcountry Rc57-59 so you can sharpen it in the field. Job dictates the grind I use on my knives for customers. Spine thickness is up to the customer. Lighter the better. Find what fits and the design you like then you’re in a good starting spot.
