Wapiti gave you solid advice. I have straightened barrels using both the methods he mentioned. If it has a sharp line/radius bend....you're hosed...but if it is just a mild bend.....piece of cake.

Savage straightens new barrels at the factory by eyeball. There’s a video somewhere. Like others have said it’s no big deal.

I have heard there are others who make replacement American barrels. I just cannot remember who.

Just watched a savage arms show that included straightening barrels.
