This is a cut and paste from another site. Hasn’t been proofed for errors but a good general reference. But you can ignore all the long action short action stuff for tikka because the actions are all the same length. But yeah 6.5 PRC is a magnum bolt face and 6.5 CM is a smaller bolt face. When I do tikka projects I like to buy a do or gin with the bolt face I’ll be using. Hard find trades and not sure about the work to open up the bolt face

Yes, as far as I know.

Yes, or 270 WSM. You'd be better suited to start with a 7rm or 300wm to avoid any changes with the bolt stop but it isn't that difficult to do if you find yourself with a wsm.

Thanks. Not sure what you are referring to changes on the bolt stop, but I'll look it up. Regarding a donor action, what is a fair price to pay?

Finally had some warmer weather and got out with the 223 to try out the new McMillan stock. Iv concluded that this gun shoots even better free floated. I’m not even going to bed this stock. Factory Hornady match was printing groups like below in less than ideal conditions

Iv also been getting a few guys asking about the new MT billet magazines, as I also heard of the problems with the initial run. I have no complaints with my 223 mags, Iv had zero failures the last two times Iv been out and they feed smoother than stock mags in my gun. I’m ordering more.

right at 2.6”, which is why I originally bought them, to reload some heavier bullets. That and one of my plastic mags was giving me problems with feeding.

Correct. The prc has a .532 rim diameter, vs the Creed's .473.

Im not, with all the shouldered pre fits coming for tikka I decided against it to retain that option should I ever need it

I didn’t have any truing done on my Tikkas. That’s another great thing about building off of them, they are good to go from the factory so you save money there also.
