Recommendations for a nice lightweight rear bag for shooting prone from a bipod? I have one that is about the size of a beer can (red tac gear), but it's pretty heavy for its size. Could be filled with some lighter media I think.

Thanks!

I took the recommendation of some guys off here and started using my bino harness/chest rig. Practiced with it a few times and it works great! It’s always with you without going into your pack. Just get prone, unclick it from the harness and slide it back to support your rifle. Took my first antelope last week using it and will definitely do it again.

What’s lightweight to you? Looking for rear only or want something that can pull double duty?

It’s all a trade off. I’m not a fan of the styrofoam bead bags, and prefer something with git lite at a minimum

I have one of the Crosstac squeeze bags and personally really like it. fully adjustable in terms of fill and very light. like dont even notice light

i use a spec lite fill with an ultralite dry bag, it seems to work pretty well.
