Mid/high top pros and cons

Just curious to hear opinions on high top vs mid top/low top boots? Somethin like a Crispi Nevada vs their guide…either one better than the other for keepin the heel down etc. or is it mainly just better ankle support in the high tops?

I like taller boots, I’ve had a lower leg injury so I appreciate any extra support/stability either real or perceived that I can get. The boots I’m using right now are 9” but I have some 10” and the next pair I buy will probably be the 12” crispi hunters. I should have just gotten the hunters from the get go but I wanted to get some uninsulated boots and the hunters have 200g of insulation. I would have appreciated the extra height and stiffness of the hunters.
