I don't see many Trump fans on this site. I mean does anyone believe Trump isn't probably the most boorish man by far in Presidential history? Wasn't he with a porn star when his wife was giving birth to his son? Is he super emotional, chaotic, and irrational at times, and is he increasing the national debt? Hell yes. On the other hand is he delivering on most of his campaign promises, is he negotiating good deals for America, is he looking out for America, is the economy great, is he smashing the corrupt government status quo, is he installing Conservative judges, is he doing lots of mostly very Conservative things? Hell yes!! There you have it. Am I his fanboy? Yes and no, LOL!!

I don’t necessarily disagree with most of that, which is why I will likley vote for the POS again, but It’s just really hard, and increasingly more difficult to get past the rhetoric, the deceit, the mistruths, outright lies and the blatant anti intellectualism. It’s also a hard pill to swallow to think that I’m voting for the same president as the Trump fan boy crowd. And we do have a few in here who are not the least bit bothered by Trump’s moral and intellectual transgressions (or just total lack of either) and are entirely incompatible of criticizing the man themselves or even tolerating any criticism of him.

If you don’t believe there is a lot about Donald Trump to be critical of, then you (general “you”, not “you” specifically) are a brainwashed member of a cult and we have some cult members here on Rokslide.

The funny thing is, the more I listen to republicans, the more dumb they sound. Alternatively, the more I listen to democrats, the more dumb they sound. When will people realize that "their" party isn't the right/smart one....

Trump didn't ruin the US...
Bernie won't ruin the US...
Wow, what simplistic arrogance!

Trump has transformed our country in three short years. Records shattered, jobs, housing, things are getting done. Love him or hate him, Trump is making good on his campaign promises.

Bernie could effectively 'ruin' our country in just as little time.
Once the executive order gets signed on guns it's over, it's a bloodbath.
Once the Green New Deal or Climate Change bullshit legislation gets signed life will completely change in this country. Prosperity is OVER.
Oregon is dealing with that now as the Gov wants to enact a Carbon Tax. Another nail in the coffin that was Oregon.

They are not any worse then all the people that defend the Clintons. Let's see I believe Bill is still the only president who has been convicted of rape. But it's different because he's a democrat right

He is doing exactly what he said he would do with liberal politicians and justices trying to block his every move.

Let’s be accurate and 100% fair here. Trump has made good on *some* of his campaign promises. He has compromised on about the same about of promises and also broken about the same amount of promises that he has actually delivered on. Sources can vary, but let’s not pretend that he is delivering on everything that he promised and I doubt that there are few among us who think that he actually ever believed that he could deliver on these promises. I am not being critical of his promises fulfilled or unfulfilled in this post, only clarifying. I am also not seeking to take away from some of the things that he has accomplished because I’ll give credit where credit is due and still maintain a high level of criticism where warranted because, well, that’s the way it supposed to work.

So you are suggesting that there is an inherent amount of deceit, corruption, and lies that we should be willing to tolerate with any president and that we shouldn’t criticize Trump or seek to hold him to any minimum standard of morality or intellectualism because of the corruption (and blow jobs) from a previous presidency?

I don’t know. Sounds like a cop out. If we can in fact “do better” as a people then We should seek to “do better.” Your statement seems to suggest that we can’t do better so we should just accept it. I have no doubt the Clintons are corrupt and I’d be more prone to being critical of it if they held the office of the presidency, but they don’t. Trump does, therefore he’s current the object of criticism when it comes to the moral and intellectual capacity of the office of the president of the United States. If bernie were to be elected, it would be the same. See how this works?
