What’s your nemesis?

8 years i have been trying to draw my pronghorn buck tag in one unit in nevada. I hope this is the year. the area holds some really big bucks. fingers crossed this is my year!

Bay Dolphins they are like socialist liberals, all you want to do is feed yourself and family, and all they do is set back watch you do all the hard work, then sweep in steal and consume your fish, while spooling your reel. In turn causing more economic hard ships. If they don’t get your fish you better hope those 400lb Antifa fat rats don’t break your leg as the divert at the last second when the fish enters your net.

Nothing like watching them swim around you with one eye out of the water seeing if your are going to toss an undersized fish in to the water, because legal rules don’t apply to them. They enjoy taunting you, because they know they are protected.

The state of Colorado. Had four hunts last year, harvested in Wyoming and New Mexico. But both my Colorado hunts last year ended with weapon failures. Lost the peep sight on my muzzleloader and dropped then ran over my magazine for my 300 win mag. Nothing like running over a $100 HS Precision mag.

Ducks......I've got thousand invested into dogs, boats, calls, and gear. All my vacation time goes to duck hunting. And I can get beat out by a band of high school kids set up 100 yards from me....everytime.

Granted.....my goal is to work a flock of birds, circle them, pick drakes, get them backpeddaling with feet down, and kill them dead. Feet up on the water.

Putting together a strap of 7 QUALITY drakes escapes me after many seasons. Been close....but not quite.

Oh...has to be on Public land unguided.

Go to Western NE
I can hook you up with a couple of my friends out there if you like or just point you in the right direction.
Not guides, just hardcore hunters.
PM if interested.
Good luck on your quest.

The 3 w's:
Weather, women (including the two in elementary school), and wealth... the lack of it, specifically.....:p

Brown/Grizz for me.
First trip saw 6 with 0 legit opportunities but gained a ton of respect for the man I was hunting with.

Second trip just breaks my heart to think of what my guide was going through but my respect went to true admiration for the man I was hunting with.

Hoping the third time will be a charm.
Also hoping it will be with the same man.

SOUTH-Eastern turkeys and mature white tails. Particularly on SC Public lands.

Elk hunting, but in a good way (can’t/won’t stop thinking about it)

Scotch Whisky

My employer/ competition in near future. Probably won’t really be competing. I can lead people out of the rain easily, so to speak.

Thinking of it, my general obsession with hunting. Soooo much money long term. But golfing is for sissies.

Work and Time, too much work and not enough time... need to change my job description to “ Lotto Winner”

Good beer
Good whisky/whiskey/burbon
Sweets

Oh, and a nice 10pt white tail. I grew up hunting in WI. I put in over 20 years in a tree stand. I have never killed a big buck. I almost had a 160+ buck once, 10 yards, but I just could not get positioned for the shot.

I have a feeling my next nemesis will be a mature elk. I started elk hunting 2 years ago with a draw tag in AZ, which started my position to start drawing tags in multiple states over the next couple years.

Pooping outside!

I suck at it. I hate doing. Had tons of practice and still suck at it. I don’t want to do it so I wait as long as I can. Get all sweaty. Can’t get my pants wide enough to squat right, so I have to take a boot off and pull one pant leg off, or else take my pants off entirely.

I happily endure most of the discomforts that come with the outdoors and even enjoy many of them. But I hate pooping outside.

Rain...I hate hunting in the rain. And snow/mud or otherwise really bad trails...I'm a wuss when it comes to driving in those situations.

In this definition I find myself constantly at odds with two. They are definitely out to get me...frequently present and capable of seriously injuring, even killing me. They will try to get you as well. I have fallen victim multiple times to one, suffering minor to serious and painful injury...the other I have thus far managed to outrun. So what are these two ever-present threats that I remain on constant vigil for? Gravity and lightning.
Gravity has had me in its grip countless times, lightning I have successfully fled numerous times as well. Thunder warns me and the air becomes charged...raising the hair. If you've ever seen the strings of juice that rain down in Arizona, you know what I mean. Gravity is a much more patient and silent predator. It is always there, stalking me. I only fear two things whenever I am in the wilderness and these are them. You guys hunting AZ in monsoon season understand.

I haven’t hunted nearly as many species as a lot of people here. Only 4 big game species. But, I’ve killed everyone of those I have hunted. So, it comes from default that I haven’t hunted enough things to have a relevant reply. But, I tend to kill what I hunt.

Good question to contemplate. I can't say that one particular species of animal has eluded me but what has given me fits is the SUN!
I can't handle endless sun without shade. This goes for everyday life too, I am a creature of the shade and do not handle direct sun well. Heat is doable if I can stay in the shadow.
