I shot mine out to 500 yards before my elk hunt if that helps. I wouldn’t be concerned with going out to 600 with my 284. I’m loading Barnes 140 ttsx to 2.95. I was getting 10 shots at about an inch at 100 yards. I really had nothing that shot poorly. Held moa or under out to 500. Also did a ladder test on the Leupold VX5 to make sure it dialed correctly which it did. I put about 200 rounds through it this summer.

I've been thinking about ordering one for a while. Looking at his website today, looks like prices just took a huge jump.

Yeah I was getting close to picking one out and that cooled my jets. Absolutely love my fieldcraft so was interested in getting the "real thing"....

A little jealous of you guys, and getting pissed off. I have 2 Forbes, one I had Melvin Rebarrel in 280 AI, and a 308. I ordered a 7-08 and sent a deposit March of 2020. At the time was told 5.5 months because he had model 20 actions available. I finally called after around 6 months and they had no record of my check, which they deposited, and after digging, they finally put the check toward my order to put it into production. I called last month to check on it and he was pretty impatient and told me it should be stocked and done soon because he knew there was a barreled action for it. Was ready to buy another, and probably will because they are damn nice, but we are going to get to 2 years of waiting real quick.

I just don’t feel as though he gives a damn about my rifle and the mistakes to make it take this long. I would have a little different attitude if he told me he was sorry it took so long, but he didn’t even want to be bothered to actually go check where it was in the process.

I sure as hell better not be paying the price increase.
