Just picked up a tikka SL in 308. Looking for the best terminal load on big game for it in comparison to:
223/77TMK
243/95 Nosler BT
6.5CM/143 ELDX
308/????

i bought nosler 165 grain ballistic tip for deer size stuff, and nosler trophy grade 165 accubond for elk size stuff. ballistics are exactly the same per the box, and hotter than most other stuff I could find. luckily my rifle seems to like the ballistic tips, havnt shot the accubond yet

175 Federal Terminal Ascent worked for me. Very accurate in my rifle. I tried Browning ammo with 168 TMK and they wouldn’t group for me. The Hornady 168 ELD-M and 178 Precision Hunter ELD-X both shoot good for me.

168 eldm has been very effective for me. I imagine a 168 TMK would work similarly.

+1 for 175TMK and OCR load in a tikka if you want good terminal effect further out. 130 TTSX for lead free meat under 300yds

open country shooting? Any 150 grain spitzer your barrel likes.
woods-brush shooting? Any 180 grain spitzer your barrel likes.
powders same encyclopedia again.
i use W748 loaded for cold temps 215 federal mag primer and 180 Sierra pro hunters semi point or round nose. Thick woods shooting.

165-168 seems to be the sweet spot for the cartridge in my opinion. Bullet is simply preference. Some have better retained down range energy/fps. Some will expand rapidly, some will barely expand. Very capable cartridge with TONS of factory ammo available.

For me it is 45 grs of Varget and 168 NBT.
This is the way.

Today I shot some 168 Amax over 43gr of Vargay to try. They did alright. 20“ #1 contour barrel and a 1-4 Zeiss V4. They hammer in my large frame AR. Need to try them at longer range to see how they stack up to the NBT.

150gn Accubond or Hornady SP over a literal assload of CFE 223 for a 2900fps screamer or the same bullet over 44gn 4064/42gn Norma 202 for a universally accurate, pretty-much-moa-in-the-8-rifles-I've-tried, 2780fps deer hammer.

Edit to add: Speer 150s seem to perform exceptionally well too. Neither sexy, sleek nor exotic, but as reliable as anything you'll ever find.
