Yesterday, we published an article that should interest anyone putting together a cold-weather clothing system. You’ve met Jared Bloomgren before on the Rok Blog.
He’s on Rokslide’s prostaff, hunts a ton of days and species per year, and knows what works in the field. He penned an article on his choice for a cold-weather layering system. I think some of you could benefit from his advice so I wanted to feature the artilce on the Rok Blog. Take it away Jared!
Hunting late season when temperatures drop out the bottom can really hinder your hunting style and ability. Being able to hit it hard while these undesirable temps take hold is key to remaining successful. 2014 late season was no different than in years past. I hunted with both archery and rifle tackle in temperatures with a high of 8 degrees during the heat of the day with lows to -20 with wind chill down to -35 degrees.
