Today 214.8. Haven’t been below 215 since 2011. I had to take my glasses off to make it!

It’s falling off more slowly but still less each week. I do have some baby backs on the smoker tonight!! Sure hope I can control myself. Leave for the Yukon on 8/13.

Down .2 lbs from last week and 21 lbs total. I'm taking advice from a few others and adding the bike in as a more structured part of the fitness plan. I like feeling not as beat down after a long bike ride compared to a 3-4 mile run.

First weigh in here.
1/7/19-314
7/8/19-291.4.

Got off the weight loss wagon for a bit when our baby girl was born went back to the bad habits of drinking pop and eating out to much. Today starts 2.0 for weight loss. Hoping to lose 71.4 pounds in a year or so. I've done to many you diets where I lose a bunch of weight fast but it always comes back on and then some.

Hey, it’s something. I accomplished this despite 2 holiday weekend parties, where I had exactly ZERO beers. Pretty proud of myself for this, and a huge step forward for me.

Back up to 190 today. Holiday weekend and an open bar at a wedding this weekend got the best of me.

Just found this thread and love it. Been getting after it for about 3 weeks. 6'1" 242. lots to loose, aiming for 220 by start of September.

I do a lot of body weight exercises 3ish mile runs and just added a heavy pack and squats to my work out plan. I started intermittent fasting the past two weeks except weekends. Feel good with the fasting.

Guys have some other thoughts on what I could add to my plan to help loose some weight?

Cheers

I also do intermittent fasting. I tried the weekends off thing and you will reverse all of the work you did through the week in those two days if you are not careful. Diet is almost everything if your goal is to lose weight. IF doesn't do much if you're eating like shit for those few hours a day. IF and clean eating does wonders my friend. Cutting back on drinking did wonders for me. Still not all the way back but where getting there. Good Luck!

I understood IF as you can drop out of it and back into it with loosing much of the benefit unlike ketosis. Obviously better if you did it all the time, but I was unaware that you loose all the benefits from the previous week. good to know.

We eat pretty clean, I just eat a lot of it. IF has helped big time with that. With IF I get stuffed before I could ever eat what I did before IF.

Is it too late to jump in here?

I have been wanting to get in better shape and drop some lbs in general, but when i drew my mule deer tag in here in Idaho it was the perfect motivation. I started out at 224lbs this was a couple weeks ago, my goal by the tag is to be less than 200 by the tag, but also in shape for a steep hunt.

I started of after talking to the "Avery's" with a fast to get started, i went 3 days and then started to eat smarter(better foods, less food over all and cutting most sugars) after the 3 day fast i was down 5lbs which was 7/3 since then i have had a bday, but i am down a total so far of 8lbs. I have also started walking to work every day but 1(had to pick orders and ship brass out), 100 push ups a day of the work week, either hike, walk with the fam or hit the treadmill ever day of the work week.

I know breaking 200 doesnt seem like far away, but it has been since around 2006 or 7 for me to be under 200. In the military i was deployed at 180 and was in great shape, maybe one day that could be another goal.

Down 1.6 lbs from last week and 22.6 lbs total. Not sure if I'll hit my goal of 200 by September 7, but if I can even knock another 6-8 lbs off by then that will be a win for me. I've been adding in bike rides and did a couple 1 hour, 15 mile rides over the weekend and I think I'm hooked. This is my first time back in the 2-teens in over 2 years. For anyone just joining of course it's not too late. You're doing a lot better than the guys that plan on starting "tomorrow".

Small loss which is a win as I just got back from a vacation where I ate and drank way too much for 8 days. Did still workout a handful of times while gone and it seemed to help. Planning to start intermittent fasting and cutting out alcohol for the next two months to really get where I want to be.

Inching closer to that 200 mark. Slowly for sure as I get closer, but I’ll be there by fall.

Never too late to get thinner for us bigger guys. Keep working at it, you’ll get there. I suggest keeping the 200 goal and put 180 completely out of your head, until you reach 200. Hitting a goal is a great feeling.

Just started to get back in shape. Holding at 221 but really need to drop 10 pounds before I leave for New Mexico in August. I want to be at 200 pounds by October. Been really busy with work, business has sucked since 2008 and it’s now starting to get good again, but traveling and eating poorly as well as Crown/ ginger ale and beer has been my down fall. My best starts for the day are around 5:00 am best time for my motivation. Wish me luck. By the way really proud of all you guys on this thread for doing your body some good.
Best
