Another option for you to get out in the mountains is to buy a bear tag. Not sure what the quota is like up in the bighorns.

And if you could find a landowner up around Hulett, leftover whitetail doe tags are plentiful off Forest.

Uncle Randy went in there and killed a bull opening morning with his grandpa. Pick up a cow tag and go hunting.

Birds, Bears, Predators. Get out there, hunt and learn the areas.
That way your way ahead of the curve when its time for Elk/Muley/Antelope.

What sucks for you is (I believe) you have to be living there a year before you APPLY so that takes out next year's draw also since you're not moving for a few more weeks. I think you can legally pickup a General tag though since they go on sale later. I'm sure somebody will correct me if wrong.
