Was in the process of buying a ram 1500 the delivery kept getting delayed.

The significant other and I decided that I would just buy or order what I wanted.

Looking at a 3/4 ton due to hauling 20 ft dump trailers as well as 28ft race car trailer.

I like the looks of the F250 tremor but it seems like fords interiors are years behind the others.

Anyone have a new 3/4 ton they care to share pictures and experiences with?

Looking at gas or diesel? I have a 2021 F350 SRW. My first Ford product. I’m very happy with it but I hate bells and whistles on a truck. I bought a base model so I don’t have all the lane assist and all the electronic crap to deal with. I’m very happy with my decision.
Mine is a 6.2L gas with the 10 speed auto and 4.30 gears. Mostly all I do is use it for towing.

I guess that’s a personal/financial decision. The $11k up charge for diesel just didn’t make sense for me.

Check out the Ford Tremor Forum. Lots of tire kicking around the gas/diesel option.

It is pricey, the real number is about 8K, but only you can decide if its worth it.

The tremor is the only 3/4 or 1 ton that is still somewhat off road worthy with rear locker, 35's, etc.

I have a 350 on order :)

If you're buying new - I would recommend going to a 1 ton. There is only about $500 difference between a 3/4 vs 1 ton. I love my F350 SRW diesel.

2020 F250 with the 7.3. I have just over 12000 miles on it, I like truck as it is it is an XLT, I'm not a big fan of a ton of stuff to play with. It pulls the trailer and boat (triple towing) just fine and I don't have a bunch of exhaust after-treatment equipment to deal with. I'm in the fleet industry and have seen a ton of issues with the DEF and after-treatment equipment that has been added to the trucks in the past 12 years.

I'm not sure how much your trailer weighs but my buddy was towing my 10,000 lb trailer with a 2019 gasser 6.2 F250 over vail pass and it was a dog. Could barely do 60 at 4500 rpm.... It was his first time towing anything with it and he was quite disappointed. Also on flat land we only averaged 9.0 MPG while towing while I normally average about 14 with the same trailer with my 6.7 Diesel F350.

I have heard good things about the new 7.3 gasser on here but would like to drive one myself to see.

I’d go with a diesel since you’ll be pulling trailers, can’t beat them for towing. If you buy it from a dealer delete the def after after the warranty is up. A tune could help too if you wanted. My friend just bought this F-350 that’s deleted and tuned and it seems to be a good truck for the time they’ve had it. Owned by old people it’s whole life so it’s been babied. I’ve grown up with duramax and Cummins so that’s what I like but I’m sure there’s some pretty decent powerstrokes out there if your a Ford guy.

Purchased a 2021 F-250 Platinum/ Tremor Diesel this year and am super happy thus far. Time will tell if it will be the truck my 2016 F350 diesel was, it was a great truck. I have tried Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and a Tundra. I will standby the statement that ford builds a superior quality vehicle than GM or Dodge. GM is close on the HD pickup's, but I will not do an independent front suspension again. Dodge lacks in refinement and quality IMO, the 3 I've owned were workhorses though (all diesel).

Just my 2 cents and worth exactly what you paid for it. If you do decide on a Ford diesel (6.7L), please stay away from any of the aftermarket stuff - especially tuners. My mechanic tells me the primary failure on these newer engines is the aftermarket stuff and tuners. These things crank out over 1000 ft-lbs of torque and 500+ horsepower from the factory. If you're into longevity and reliability, just keep the maintenance up on the engines and drive them. These are words from a shop owner that works on these engines for a living. Again, this is worth about what you paid for it but I figure a guy that works on thousands of these things a year might know what he's talking about.

Just my experience, we’ve had 4 of these 6.7’s. Started with an 11-f350 and a 13-f550. Now have a 18-f350 and a 20-f550. When def problems started to show up on the 2011 we deleted both it and the 2013, we did a programmer on the lowest setting. It was great with the power and fuel mileage. Over the next 6-12 months we put in a transmission and both pickups have had, I believe head gaskets replaced. If I could do it over again we would leave them stock.

I have 55k miles on my 2018 F350 DRW diesel. I tow heavy loads and do long trips. This summer I had my Arctic Fox camper in the bed with 25' enclosed trailer with ATVs from WA to SD and back. I was around 22k lbs and got 10 miles to the gallon on that trip. I've had zero issues with it and love how it pulls. Mine is 100% stock and will stay that way other than possibly a DEF delete but I haven't even had the time to look into that yet.

One thing I would look at is the size of fuel tank available for the truck you decide on. Mine has a 48-gallon tank and it's awesome for those long trips. Most of the short beds have tiny tanks and they suck imo.

Trip to WY a couple years back with the camper and 25' trailer.

This was CO 2nd season. We took the camper and my 14' trailer on that trip.
