Yip, it’s here. Time to giveaway the new Berger Bullet Hunter Classic.  If you missed the great review on Berger’s latest design for hunters written by Rokslide’s own Matt Cashell, check it out here: Testing Berger’s New Classic Hunter Bullet

All you had to do to win a box in 30 caliber was subscribe to the Rok Blog (upper right, under Fitness/Other) and post in the comments what rifle you’d like to test the bullets in (we love all kinds of rifles here on the Rok Blog).

We received 12 entries- talk about great odds- so I used Random.org to generate a number.

Well, “10” must be a lucky number for Rok Blog subscriber McKinnon Chappell!  He’ll be shooting the new Classic Hunter bullet in his Winchester Model 70 in 300 Win. Mag (my daddy’s favorite caliber).

McKinnonl, to claim your prize, just post in the comments which weight bullet weight you’d like (168 or 185, subject to current availability), fire me an email at robby@rokslide and the bullets are yours!

Thanks for playing everyone.  As I’ve said before, smart Roksliders subscribe to the Rok Blog.

Stay tuned as the we’ll be drawing for the Tenzing 1140 from Packfitter.  It’s not too late to get entered, see Win a Tenzing 1140 Pack from Packfitter!

Thanks everyone.

Robby Denning
Robby Denning started hunting mule deer in the late 1970’s, only missing one season in 35 years. At 25, he gave up the pursuit of all other big-game to focus on taking the best bucks possible. He began hunting the West on a DIY budget hunting an average of 30 days a year for mule deer. Robby loves the hunt as much as the kill and the entire process from research to scouting to hunting. He’s killed four bucks over 200 inches in the last 15 seasons, mostly on easily-obtained tags. He owns a public-land scouting service and runs a private-land outfitting business helping other hunters in their pursuit of deer and elk. Robby has scouted and hunted literally thousands of square miles of mule deer country and brings a wealth of knowledge about these experiences with him. To him, the weapon of choice is just a means-to-an-end and will hunt with bow, rifle, or muzzleloader – whatever it takes to create an opportunity to take a great mule deer. He is also the author of "Hunting Big Mule Deer" available on Amazon. Robby believes all of creation is from God for man to manage, respect, and through which to know its Creator

  1. Hey Robby! Thank you for this, I can’t wait to get a load worked up for these! I would prefer the 185 grain.

  2. McKinnon,
I picked up your bullets last night and the 185s were in stock. They are on their way. Please let us know how they shoot. Post here in the comments or on the Rokslide Forums.
