Announcement time is here!  Last week I interviewed Kendall Card, co-founder of BlackOvis.com (and Camofire.com) here on the Rok Blog.  His online hunting & gear supply stores link you to top gear and can save you some money. If you’re just tuning in, check out that post here Win Big with BlackOvis.com & Camofire.com

Kendall also showed his generous side by offering a free $500 shopping experience for one winner who Liked/Shared  the BlackOvis.com, Camofire.com, & Rokslide Facebook pages.

We had an incredible response to this giveaway.  Seems BlackOvis.com & Camofire.com have lots of friends.

As usual, I used Random.org to pull a number.  Checking the FB lists and verifying that he was a Rok Blog subscriber, I found Dustin Hover was our eligible winner.

Dustin, to claim your prize just post up in the comments what you might be buying on BlackOvis.com and send me an email @[email protected]

You have 10 days (through May 14th) to claim your prize or I’ll have to give your $500 shopping spree to the next eligible winner.

Thanks everyone.  Without you all, these giveaways would not be possible.

Stick around, later this week we’ll be talking about a mule deer hunter’s number one tactic for taking top-end bucks: Glassing.

Robby Denning
Robby Denning started hunting mule deer in the late 1970’s, only missing one season in 35 years. At 25, he gave up the pursuit of all other big-game to focus on taking the best bucks possible. He began hunting the West on a DIY budget hunting an average of 30 days a year for mule deer. Robby loves the hunt as much as the kill and the entire process from research to scouting to hunting. He’s killed four bucks over 200 inches in the last 15 seasons, mostly on easily-obtained tags. He owns a public-land scouting service and runs a private-land outfitting business helping other hunters in their pursuit of deer and elk. Robby has scouted and hunted literally thousands of square miles of mule deer country and brings a wealth of knowledge about these experiences with him. To him, the weapon of choice is just a means-to-an-end and will hunt with bow, rifle, or muzzleloader – whatever it takes to create an opportunity to take a great mule deer. He is also the author of "Hunting Big Mule Deer" available on Amazon. Robby believes all of creation is from God for man to manage, respect, and through which to know its Creator

  1. Congratulations Duston, and thank you Kendall and Robby for this chance. Love all three sites.

  2. Thanks guys. I think this is the first drawing I have ever won! Thanks to Camofire and Black Ovis and Rokslide for making this possible.
I am thinking after getting caught in a pretty bad rain/snow storm while antler hunting this weekend some rain pants might be nice.

  3. Congrats Dustin. Good thing you posted, Diane had her eye on your prize 🙂
Looks like you’ll be able to get top-end rain pants and much more. Keep us posted what you order and how it all performs, either here on the Rok Blog or in the Rokslide forums. Thanks to all.
