Well, between a very big Idaho fire, a First Lite evacuation, a Rokslide system shutdown, and a busy scouting season for mule deer, one thing or another has delayed the First Lite Merino Wool Giveaway… but no more!  We now have a winner.

First Lite’s Llano Top and Red Desert Boxer short.  I have both and love them.

Remember, you had to Like the First Lite Facebook page and subscribe to the Rok Blog to be eligible.  A few people missed one or the other, but in the end it was…

Ken Lancaster

who got it right!

Congrats Ken!  You need to post in the comments section below and email me at [email protected] to claim your prize.  You have until September 23rd to claim it or another Rok Blog follower will be wearing your underwear (Creepy….)

Thanks to all those who participated.  Stay tuned, I love giving things away on the Rok Blog (Billy Molls DVD; Endeavor ED 10.5 x 45 Binoculars) and you could win.  Not to mention that we talk all-things-cool about hunting and mule deer season starts next week for me.  Might get interesting!

Robby Denning
Robby Denning started hunting mule deer in the late 1970’s, only missing one season in 35 years. At 25, he gave up the pursuit of all other big-game to focus on taking the best bucks possible. He began hunting the West on a DIY budget hunting an average of 30 days a year for mule deer. Robby loves the hunt as much as the kill and the entire process from research to scouting to hunting. He’s killed four bucks over 200 inches in the last 15 seasons, mostly on easily-obtained tags. He owns a public-land scouting service and runs a private-land outfitting business helping other hunters in their pursuit of deer and elk. Robby has scouted and hunted literally thousands of square miles of mule deer country and brings a wealth of knowledge about these experiences with him. To him, the weapon of choice is just a means-to-an-end and will hunt with bow, rifle, or muzzleloader – whatever it takes to create an opportunity to take a great mule deer. He is also the author of "Hunting Big Mule Deer" available on Amazon. Robby believes all of creation is from God for man to manage, respect, and through which to know its Creator

  1. Thank You so very much, I know I will put all to very good use. Ken Lancaster Again thank you for the contest very much appreciated

  2. Great Ken, glad it didn’t take you long to claim the First Lite gear. Only catch is you have to tell us how you like it and how it performs in the field this fall. I see you’re all the way from Pennsylvania? Plenty of deer woods there to try out the gear. Keep us posted and congrats.
